School-wide assembly at the Valencia Academy of the Arts (Elementary)

Launched series of 8 Blues for Vets concerts at the Long Beach Veterans’ Affairs Hospital

School-wide assembly for 900+ students at Long Beach Polytechnic High School featuring Grammy® nominee Janiva Magness, Bernie Pearl, Ray Goren, Brophy Dale, Shy Buy Flyy, and students from previous workshops

Began series of 3 fundraising concerts featuring Boxcar 7 and Aileen Quinn

2017

Received praise and thanks from educators Sonjah Hawkins and Chris Stevens, and started plans for school-wide assemblies at both Poly and Renaissance High Schools

Conducted a Blues in the Schools workshop at Long Beach Polytechnic High School for Chris Stevens’ Jazz Band class, featuring Grammy® nominee Janiva Magness, celebrated guitarist Brophy Dale, legendary artist/historian Bernie Pearl, South Side Slim, and Shy But Flyy

Conducted a Blues in the Schools workshop with Sonjah Hawkins’ Jazz Band students at the Renaissance High School for the Arts featuring Bernie Pearl and Shy But Flyy

Secured grant funding to pay for admission of children 12 and under to the 2017 New Blues Festival

Co-Produced the New Blues Festival with 6000+ in attendance

2016

Secured domain, designed, created and launched website and facebook page

Received Federal IRS designation as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization

Co-Produced the New Blues Festival with 5000+ in attendance

2015

Registered as a California corporation with the California Secretary of State & Attorney General

Co-Produced the New Blues Festival with 3000+ in attendance

2014

Launched the Management Training Program in association with the New Blues Festival
