Watching Bill Grisolia perform is truly a magical experience. Whether he’s playing cover or original songs, using his keyboard piano or singing earnestly, the veteran blues musician loves to show people a great time. Recently his fantastic band performed at the Whisky a Go Go, much to the delight of fans who came to see him open for The Busboys. “I have known Bill through his tireless efforts at the Long Beach Blues Society,” noted Susan Ryan. “He creates a captivating atmosphere with his powerful presence onstage. With his strong, melodious vocals that have a soulful touch, combining effortlessly with his rich piano notes, it’s always a musical adventure to see him.” Grisolia has numerous “impressive” seasoned musicians that play with his band ongoingly, added Ryan. “I really enjoyed how Bill’s band brought their powerful vocals and musical talents for a memorable show.” His repertoire of songs included beautifully crafted originals like the upbeat “The Blue Line,” and the soulfully haunting, “Lately I Didn’t Miss You.” Grisolia brought the house down, with well-known covers by Al Green’s “Take Me to the River,” and Elton John’s “Saturday Nights Alright for Fighting,” leaving the crowd asking for more.
